Cheltenham Badlands are amazing!

I had a couchsurfer from Germany who drove across Canada from BC to NS then ended in Toronto. Well an Italian couple posted about wanting to go to the Cheltenham Badlands. As he and my surfer both like photography, I told her about the place. So the next day we all drove up to Calendon, Ontario. It was literally just off the side of the road! Boom! If you drove too fast you would have past it!

And just as we were getting ready to leave, we hear this person say, "look at the rainbow". Well it was a "spectrum rainbow"! (I saw my first one in Newfoundland) Voila!

It was such a gorgeous day last week when we went. I highly recommend going if you have the chance to.

I've come out of hiding!!

Hello Folks,

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I created this blog.. came back to add some titles of how I was going to organize all my info.. then poof.. life took over and I haven't been back.. so that first blog where I said bear with me.. well thank you to the few followers who have!! lol

I am clicking on this, that and the other trying to figure this all out. I really do have a ton of info to share with you all.. it's just figuring out how to post it!! I am not that computer savvy at all!! lol

But I am in an organizational mode right now. The Couchsurfing group I belong to is organizing a weekend of activities for Canada day weekend; the Gay Pride Parade and Independence Day. Plus a whole bunch of other festivals happening that long weekend. Hence forth all the places I have been calling for donations, the city for maps, businesses to offer up a discount or freebies!!

I do want to share it all with you.. do they have a 101 class on how to use this site and all it's features??!!! ;0)

My first blog ever!

Hi all!

So what is my blog about? Good question! lol

My friends have told me that I should do something with all the information I have about places I have been to, places I have eaten at, the things I do.. and most of it is free or cheap! So here I am.. ready to share my fountain of wisdom with you all :0)

So please bare with me as I figure all this stuff out! I am also interested in creating an ebook with all this wonderful information as an easy toolkit for others to have. Anybody know anything about that?

I work with the homeless during the winter and I am fortunate enough to usually have my summers off where I host people (via www.couchsurfing.org/AMUISED). So I have had the pleasure of rediscovering Toronto and the surrounding areas, plus some other parts of Canada and the US. Hence the fountain of wisdom.. if it's free or cheap.. I know about it! lol

So the upcoming blogs will be about the various things I do, see, eat or check out in the city!
